   Kenneth Humberstone

Detroit-based creatives working in Core City, Detroit. Embracing time spent together established their process in thematic literature and illustrations. William's innate ability in prose and poetry is the foundation for their work.
WAK Apparel Detroit originated from risograph prints. Alexandra's illustrations + William's poetry + Kenneth's creative direction characterizes their collaboration. WAK is the means to any end.
"One day screen print stuff showed up from with two guys and a truck in Core City. There it sat at a collective weight of 3000 lbs in a disassembled state. One chain fall, three dolly carts, an engine hoist ken come in handy, and Ken had access to another process.
WAK Apparel Detroit is my vibe, threads that have already traveled a distance, for people who can carry any and all of a story on their sleeve. The subtle history held between threads; it's why I love materials that embrace change and the sharing of stories."
- Ken Humberstone
